POEM - Mills Rd

Desire is the big bang;

the entirety of this life game

Dig a grave you crave falling into,

because that’s the only happy ending

impending for any of us

She can hide, but they will find her

Your heart is meat in the grinder

Who or what will you feed?

Need: the taste of blood to veins

when love’s liquor makes wobbly waves

And he who rhymes without reason,

commits the most egregious treason

You just know this fool meets all hallows

at the gallows, with no recollection

of how he even got there

So let it be said before you are dead:

Desire is a free fountain of youth
