POEM - Riney Rd

Lust pools within my imagined existence

like a glacial river into a shot glass

Have a drink with me, won’t you?

Stop my eager heartbeat like a clock

Let me die at your favorite time of day

Be my sleepless hour of the night

Own how consenting you’ve always been

You never needed my permission

to scour this face along your fault line

You are fresh depth for those in hellfire;

as someone who exists on your fringes,

I should know better than anyone

The lottery isn’t calling my numbers

The bottle I spin always points back at me

And I won’t cross your mind at the last

But if I could spend a single night inside you,

that’s how you’d want them all to end

Whole-cocked, I would wreck you
